No. The course is designed to give you a strong foundation and understanding necessary for you to excel in your journey of becoming a successful tattoo artist.

No. Only for the final test will you be asked to bring someone along who is willing to be tattooed by you as a live model.

You will need a deposit of £300 to secure a spot on the course.

Not on site, however, there is plenty of parking in the area at very reasonable day rates.

6 hours. The class will start at 10am, and finish at 5pm, with a 1hr lunch break in between.

The certificate of completion issued by BTQ will allow you to gain the knowledge and advantage to begin a career within the industry.

No, but we will assist you in selecting the right kit for you and where to get it from.

This is a four day intensive course, there will be an extra half day available if you are wanting to learn dermal anchors.

If you are interested in learning dermal anchors there will be an additional cost. Starter Body piercing kits will be available to Purchase after qualification.

You will need to arrange your own travel, accommodation and meals.

Yes you will receive a recognised health and safety within tattoo/piercing studios certificate.

You will learn health and safety within the tattoo and piercing Studio, how to start a business and business requirements. You will also learn about consent forms, your safety within the studio, eg. PPE, Hepatitis B jab.

 We will cover what you will require within the studio, customer care, how to clean a studio, dealing with blood spillages, sterilising, different types of piercing, problematic piercing and remedies. Piercing materials, piercing placements, jewellery sizing and techniques. We will have live models available. 

We aim to cover a vast amount of piercings. 

• Earlobe, earlobe stretching and Cartlidge piercing. Such as industrial and daith. 
• Facial piercings such as nostril septum, bridge, surface and eyebrow. 
• Oral piercings such as Tongue, tongue surface, lip, medusa, etc. 
•  Surface piercing such as navel and collarbones.

If you are enrolling in the dermal anchor course. You will cover everything you need to know about dermals, from vein checking to various techniques and aftercare.

We aim to have live models in the piercing studio for you to pierce. We will accept models accompanying the applicant on piercing days only.
