4-Day Piercing Course

You will learn health and safety within the tattoo and piercing Studio, how to start a business and business requirements. You will also learn about consent forms, your safety within the studio, eg. PPE, Hepatitis B jab.

We will cover what you will require within the studio, customer care, how to clean a studio, dealing with blood spillages, sterilising, different types of piercing, problematic piercing and remedies. Piercing materials, piercing placements, jewellery sizing and techniques. We will have live models available. 

We aim to cover a vast amount of piercings: 

  • Earlobe, earlobe stretching and Cartlidge piercing. Such as industrial and daith. 
  • Facial piercings such as nostril septum, bridge, surface and eyebrow. 
  • Oral piercings such as Tongue, tongue surface, lip, medusa, etc. 
  • Surface piercing such as navel and collarbones.

If you are enrolling in the dermal anchor course. You will cover everything you need to know about dermals, from vein checking to various techniques and aftercare.

Day 1
An introduction to get to know each other and find out what interests you in piercing. This will  help to create a comfortable atmosphere. Once we have got to know each other we will start to learn about Health and Safety within the Piercing/ tattoo studio. You will then sit an exam at the end of the day which contribute to running a safe studio and your recognised piercing qualification.

Day 2
A short recap on what we learnt on the first day, we will then begin to learn about small parts of body piercing history, different types of piercing. Body jewellery materials, body jewellery measurements and how to use a vernier scale (mm, gauges).

We will cover piercing gun damage, problematic piercing and solutions, different types of aftercare. We’ll  discuss what you will need to open a studio, from fixtures and fittings, medical supplies, piercing supplies to keeping yourself safe (Hep B jabs). Lastly the importance of consent forms and identification.

Day 3
We will begin the day in the piercing studio. We will cover paperwork such as COSHH data sheets and risk assessments. We will then start to cover the importance of sterilising jewellery and tools. This will include how to use an ultra sonic and autoclave. Then we will discuss cleaning products to use within the studio, how to clean a studio, how often and how to clean your piercing station. 

We can then begin the physical side of body piercing. You will learn what tools you need for different piercing, jewellery sizing for piercing and needle sizes. We will cover how to set up for different piercings safely, techniques for piercing placements and how to pierce the area. (without piercing. ) 

If there is enough time at the end of the day, we can begin to practice piercing! Each person on the course will be more than welcome to get pierced themselves to help with confidence and practice! 

Day 4
This will be a day of piercing live models, we will aim to get as many as possible to cover all piercings we offer. We will also welcome anyone you may want to bring as a model. Paris will go through each step of a piercing and Helpful techniques she has learnt throughout her career. She will show how to hold clamps and needles comfortably. Also  how and when to use numbing agents/anaesthetics, create a good, straight and healthy piercing. The positives of piercing live models is the experience of dealing with clients whether they have allergies, are nervous or faint, Paris will be able to help on how to deal with this. We aim for you to leave our course with a high level of confidence and knowledge, also the excitement to begin your own personal journey.

Dermal Anchor Course

If you chose to learn how to do Dermal anchors, we will cover everything you will need to know. We will learn about the different tools and biopsy punches you will need, dermal piercing set up, How the jewellery works, importance of vein checking, what makes the jewellery stay in the body, problems that can arise with dermals and lastly the after care of a dermal anchor.

We will aim to have live models for practice, you will be welcome to bring a model in for practice if you like. Paris will show all her techniques she has learnt and how to create a healthy Dermal piercing.
